Hey guys so I have some completed works that I'm about to show you.

T

hey are both small figurines of
Jesters. It is almost mid-night and I just finished typing up and scheduling 2 interviews for my April feature marathon, 31 Days, 31 Artists. I'll be interviewing successful Etsy sellers to discover their secrets to their success of selling hundreds or even thousands of products! It all starts on April 1st so make sure you enter your Email on the subscription on the left hand column and subscribe to my blog. That way you get my posts sent to your email and you won't miss out on this event.
So these Jesters are both one of a kind. They actually took me a while to build because of the tiny detail. However, unlike my Thug that you saw in a couple posts ago, gravity was not so much of an issue. That was extremely exciting because I had to build my thug in segments and in sessions. I would coil the clay up a few inches, then wait a few hours, then coil up a few more,

t

hen wait again. I had to keep stopping because the clay would start collapsing or caving in from the softness and weight of it. The more moisture that leaves, the harder the clay becomes and that means more strength for me to build taller!
So check out these pictures and lemme know what you think!

Cute, I like the green jester! I bet these are a LOT of work to create, well done!
Impressive! I took a ceramics class in high school a looong time ago so I have a little bit of an idea of the work involved in this type of art. Carol
I LOVE the red jester. Sinister as a jester should be!

Great Jesters - the green one catches my eye.
Awww thanks guys! It's so incrediably interesting to see how everyone reacts to my different work.... I tend to use the same characters right now but have them posing in different ways to see peoples different reactions to them!!
